Psychiatrist - Psychological Services

Job Summary:

Responsible for insuring professional outpatient mental health service to the patients, hospital staff and hospital departments in accordance with Oaklawn policies. Provides psychological diagnostic interviews, develops individualized treatment plans with therapeutic goals and objectives for each client, and conducts individual, group or family therapy to meet the behavioral health needs of the patients. May also provide counseling services in other hospital programs as needed.

Essential Functions:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations; diagnose and treat mental health conditions; develop and implement treatment plans; provide medication management and other psychiatry services within the scope of specialty; and maintain continuity of care for assigned patients.

M-F, 8am-6pm. 40 hrs/wk. Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week, scheduled Monday through Friday, with one day off during the week determined based on the operational needs of the practice. Hybrid work schedule:
Two (2) days per week onsite and two (2) days per week performed remotely from the employee’s residence. Occasional on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage are required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Medical doctor degree or foreign equivalent, completion of ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency training. Eligibility for Michigan medical license.
