Overview
We are looking to improve our middle school model by making this a transition year from elementary to middle school. ELA, History, Math and MS Prep would be taught by this 6th grade homeroom teacher. The students would travel to another teacher for science and participate in an elective (band, choir, PE, or art). MS Prep is digital literacy, math and ELA skill building, and SEL following a schedule that aligns with 6th-8th grade Prep classes and utilizing district provided resources.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the operation of the total school program through professional support of the Academy's daily routine, rules, and regulations; participate meaningfully in the Academy's program for self evaluation and procedures for teacher evaluation to continue improving as a contributing member of the Academy community.
- Provide direct supervision of activities as specified by the Head of School; conceive, plan, organize, rehearse, and present special student programs.
- Understand and support all aspects of Marshall Academy’s Handbooks and policy manuals; manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures; maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school; assist the Head of School in duties as requested.
