Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a GSRP caregiver for the  school year. The classroom will have 18 students, 1 lead teacher, 1 assistant teacher, and 1 caregiver for the afternoon 12-3. This position will also blend into after school care for 4-10 year old students up to 5:30 PM. After school programming will focus on recreational play, social skills building, and art and STEM activities.

Responsibilities
  • - Support the daily operations of the classroom, including setting up learning materials, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves and engage with their peers.
  • - Build strong relationships with students and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • - Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
  • - Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance, promoting positive interactions among children.
  • - Support the implementation of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.
Requirements
  • - Experience working with young children in an educational setting, preferably in a preschool or early childhood program.
  • - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • - Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of a classroom environment.
  • - Basic proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new educational tools and software.
  • - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • - Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
