Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for Surgical Technologist-OR that will provide support for our client's healthcare systems in Marshall, Michigan. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Schedule
: 40 hours/Week
Shift
: 4x10 days (10 hrs)
Pay Range for Traveler
: $2,250.00- $2,326.00 Weekly DOE
Pay Range for local
: $45-$50/hourly-W2
- Provides peri-operative care of surgical patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Ensures the physical environment is properly prepared before patient arrival
- Assists RN with developing and implementing the plan of care
- Follows procedures to maintain patient and employee safety
- Demonstrates an outward mindset and teamwork-focused approach
- Assists the surgical team during operative procedures
- Utilizes surgical instruments and medical devices appropriately
- Provides exposure, handles and cuts tissue, assists with hemostasis and suturing
- Follows infection prevention and safety standards
- Uses evidence-based tools, policies, and standards of care
- Participates in self-assessment, peer review, and ongoing professional development
- Completes mandatory education and competency requirements
- Participates in unit performance improvement and staff meetings
- Prepares and inventories sterile surgical setups
- Passes instruments and supplies to the surgical team as needed
- Assists with patient positioning and transport
- Helps clean and prepare the operating room
- Permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of CSFA experience – REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program – REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited STFA program with certification – REQUIRED
- NBSTSA Certification
