One of TEKsystems clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Desktop Support team. This is a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a local enterprise company and to grow their skills within IT Support and advance their careers within IT.

Job Type & Location

Contract to Hire. Fully onsite position in Marshall, MI.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including Windows and Mac operating systems and across a range of software applications
  • Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11
  • Re‑image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10
  • Assist all users with any logged IT‑related incident when called upon
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis and implementing temporary or permanent fixes to restore service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams when necessary
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners
  • Maintain a first‑class level of customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and appropriately
Qualifications

Previous experience in helpdesk, desktop support, or PC technician roles is preferred. CompTIA certifications are desirable for this role.
