A great new car battery manufacturing plant in Marshall, MI is hiring experienced material handlers!

Shift: Rotating 12 hour shift, 6pm - 6am with training on first shift for approximately a week

Pay: $21/hr

Job Duties:

• Load and unload solid and liquid waste, as well as recyclables, safely in compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts with attachments, and other material-handling equipment to transport materials throughout the facility and to and from trucks.
• Safely operate processing equipment including balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers.
• Sort materials according to established guidelines for proper processing and disposal.
• Perform physical work and heavy lifting up to 60 lbs as required
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas through routine housekeeping and facility cleanup.
• Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have forklift or material handling experience
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.
• Capable of performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
