Registered Nurse - Birthing Center

Job Description

We are seeking a professional Registered Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care for patients in a Birthing Center. The role requires critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize all phases of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and supervise the nursing patient care team, typically comprised of CNAs, LPNs, and other support staff.
• Collaborate with team members and various disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care, conditions, reactions, and responses to treatments in a timely manner, tracking patient progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a Birthing Center.
• Experience with laboring patients, deliveries, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• NRP certification is preferred; candidates without active certification must be willing to obtain it.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• Active Michigan state nursing license.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee. Additionally, the nurse will participate in rotating holidays and weekends, with possible on-call responsibilities.
