American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Marshall, MI, requiring at least 2 years of birthing center experience and an active MI RN license.
Details- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Work setting is a hospital birthing center
- Patient population includes laboring patients, delivery (including newborn care at delivery), and postpartum (mothers and babies)
- Rotating holidays and weekends required
- On-call responsibilities required on a rotating basis for holidays and weekends
- 13-week contract
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- NRP certification preferred; candidates without active NRP will be considered but must be willing to obtain it
- Minimum 2 years of current Birthing Center experience required
- Experience with laboring patients, delivery, and postpartum care required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care using critical thinking and independent judgment across all phases of the nursing process
- Directs and supervises the patient care team, which may include CNAs, LPNs, and other techs
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in the provision of patient care
- Timely documentation of patient care, condition, reactions, and response to treatment is expected
- RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the contract
