American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of Medical Surgical experience and an active Michigan RN license.

• Med/Surg unit in a 78-bed hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling available

• Active Michigan RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required in hand prior to profile submission
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required for consideration
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop/update plans of care in collaboration with patients
• Provide and direct nursing care while evaluating outcomes using evidence-based tools and established policies
• Educate patients and family members and maintain appropriate documentation
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities and staff meetings
• Practice in accordance with the legal definition of nursing in the State of Michigan, including delegation and supervision provisions
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
