School Social Worker in Marshall, MI

Exciting opportunity for a licensed School Social Worker to support students and staff for a maternity leave coverage during the upcoming school year. This contract role is located near Marshall, MI, running from October through the  academic year. • Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification (must be current; please submit upon application)
• Demonstrated experience working in K-12 school environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and other student support services
• Professional, reliable, and able to adapt in a dynamic school setting

• Deliver counseling and social work services to students, both one‑on‑one and in group settings
• Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and administration to identify student needs and create effective support plans
• Support students navigating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to facilitate academic and personal growth
• Act as a resource for families, connecting them to community or district resources where appropriate
• Assist with crisis intervention and prevention programs as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with school and district policy
