Tire Technician
The Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, mounting, balancing, rotating, repairing, and replacing tires on customer and dealership vehicles. This position plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction by performing quality workmanship while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:- Mount, dismount, balance, and install tires on vehicles
- Perform tire repairs in accordance with industry safety standards.
- Conduct tire inspections for wear, damage, proper inflation, and tread depth.
- Rotate tires and perform wheel balancing services.
- Check and adjust tire pressure, including Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) when applicable.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services performed.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
- Follow all dealership policies and manufacturer procedures.
- Assist with general shop duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with technicians, advisors, and other team members to provide exceptional customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous tire or automotive service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate tire mounting, balancing, and lifting equipment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry tires and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and shop environments.
- Manual dexterity to safely operate automotive tools and equipment.

The Tire Technician works in an automotive service department where exposure to moving vehicles, loud noises, automotive chemicals, and varying temperatures is common. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, and all safety procedures must be followed.
