Job Description

The Assistant Coach will be involved in all aspects of coaching responsibilities including recruiting, practice, organization, scheduling, trip organization, fundraising, alumni relations, and summer camps. Responsibilities may also include intramural director, game management, marketing, advertising and promotions, special events, weight room/fitness center director and Office of Admission recruiting. Responsibilities may include budgeting and hiring, and supervision of student workers. Coaching and administrative duties will be 75% of the assignment.

The position includes teaching assignment of six credits (25%) that reflect the candidate's degree, prior teaching experience and/or area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Collegiate basketball coaching experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written skills
  • Understanding and appreciation for Liberal Arts Education
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in support of university mission to foster a global perspective
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Upper Midwest collegiate recruiting
  • Experience with camp coordinator experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and effective human relations skills required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Synergy
