Responsibilities- The Assistant Coach will be involved in all aspects of coaching responsibilities including recruiting, practice, organization, scheduling, trip organization, fundraising, alumni relations and summer camps.
- Responsibilities may also include intramural director, game management, marketing, advertising and promotions, special events, weight room/fitness center director and Office of Admission recruiting.
- Responsibilities may include budgeting and hiring, and supervision of student workers.
- Coaching and administrative duties will be 75% of the assignment.
- The position includes a teaching assignment of six credits (25%) that reflect the candidate's degree, prior teaching experience and/or area of expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Collegiate basketball coaching experience
- Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written skills
- Understanding and appreciation for Liberal Arts Education
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in support of university mission to foster a global perspective
- Experience with Upper Midwest collegiate recruiting
- Experience with camp coordinator experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and effective human relation skills required
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Synergy
