Admission Counselor – MSUAASF Range BSouthwest Minnesota State University seeks a full‑time Admission Counselor to recruit and enroll new students in the Marshall, MN area. The role focuses on prospect generation, inquiry management, application development, and admission to enrollment to meet or exceed enrollment goals.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in a related field or two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of post‑secondary training, education and/or professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral, written, and interpersonal settings.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver effective public presentations.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, preferably Slate.
- Knowledge and understanding of higher education systems.
- Experience working in admissions and with prospective college students.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to write and speak fluently in Spanish.
