Job DescriptionThis adjunct position will teach courses for the Communication Studies Program and/or mentor concurrent enrollment instructors in the College Now program. Applicants may indicate a preference for one or both opportunities.
- May teach the basic oral communication course, COMM 110 Essentials of Public Presentations in a variety of delivery formats (face‑to‑face, online, etc.).
- May mentor concurrent enrollment instructors in the College Now dual‑credit program in delivery of the COMM 110 Essentials of Public Presentations Course.
- Instructors must follow programmatic standards in courses they teach and/or mentor and work from a common curriculum developed by the program.
- Instructors should be available to students and mentees outside of class time.
- Master’s degree in Communication Studies or a closely related discipline, or a master’s degree with 18+ graduate credits in Communication.
- Applicants for mentoring College Now instructors must be able to travel to on‑site visits within the state of Minnesota and attend an annual summer workshop on campus.
- Experience teaching college‑level Communication courses.
- Appreciation for liberal arts education.
- Ability to work productively and collegially with a variety of stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrators.
- Preference to applicants who can teach classes on campus in Marshall, MN.
- Preference to applicants who can document effectiveness in teaching online.

Work ShiftWork schedule to be finalized at time of hire.
