American Indian Education (Aie) Liaison
Marshall Public Schools is seeking applications for a part-time American Indian Education (AIE) liaison to work with our American Indian Education program and families. The position will provide academic support to our AIE students in grades PreK-12, meet with students weekly for academic and cultural activities, work closely with families to share about opportunities and activities, and work closely with the American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC) with meetings and event planning.
A successful candidate would have knowledge and understanding of our American Indian Education program and the cultures we serve. They would have an understanding of the school system and how to meet and connect with families. The schedule may be somewhat flexible, but it is expected that the position is meeting with our students weekly, during the school day/hours, to help support the various needs of our students in the AIE program.
It is also expected that the liaison attends the monthly AIPAC meetings. The ability to travel to and from the different school buildings is needed.
