True Light Christian School is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as one of our school counselors.
Applicants must be born‑again believers who feel called by God to help students live a life pleasing to God. Candidates will need to hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Applicant must be licensed by PELSB or be working toward a school counselor license. Info on this can be found here.
ResponsibilitiesCounseling students on the following topics: friendship skills, academic support, social‑emotional skills, spiritual development, mental health and wellness, resilience, family change, and grief and loss.
Qualifications- Love for Christ and children
- Wholehearted agreement with school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work with and be a part of a team
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of student well‑being needs
- Regular attendance at a local Bible‑believing church
- 401(k)
- Collaborative workplace & highly encouraging culture
Hours: approximately 15–20 hours per month
