Leasing Specialist 5

The Leasing Specialist 5 serves as a subject matter expert supporting post-funding lease administration and transaction maintenance within Equipment Finance. This role is responsible for reviewing, researching, and resolving complex lease-related issues, ensuring transactions are accurately structured and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

The specialist partners closely with Credit, Sales, Operations, Accounting, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to identify and implement solutions for transaction discrepancies, contract modifications, and servicing requests. Success in this role requires strong leasing knowledge, analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex leasing transaction issues and servicing requests.
  • Review lease transactions to identify discrepancies, documentation issues, setup errors, and contract modifications.
  • Determine appropriate corrective actions and execute transaction updates accurately and efficiently.
  • Process requests related to lease restructures, term modifications, payment deferrals, and other post-booking changes.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across Credit, Sales, Accounting, Collections, Customer Service, Operations, and other business units to resolve transaction-related issues.
  • Manage work received through internal request management systems and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding transaction status and resolution strategies.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, documentation, and process compliance while managing multiple concurrent requests.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end business activities as needed.
  • Continuously develop expertise in leasing operations, systems, and business processes.

Candidates should be comfortable supporting peak business periods, including month-end and quarter-end processing cycles when additional hours may occasionally be required to meet business needs and operational deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six to eight years of experience in leasing or other financial operations activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of equipment finance/leasing products, lease structures, underwriting requirements, documentation, funding, servicing, and transaction maintenance processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting lease documentation, funding, servicing, and post-funding operations.
  • Understanding of applicable credit policies, approval processes, legal documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups to resolve complex documentation and transaction issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and utilize new software applications.

Location expectations:
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. This position is located at the Marshall, MN, location.
