We are hiring an
EHS Manager for our frozen ice cream and specialty foods plant in Marshall
, MN
! In this role you will be responsible for ensuring safe working environment for all employees by implementing and monitoring facility safety programs and developing controls for all areas of property and casualty risks. You'd also Oversee the facilities and ensure all contractors & vendors follow all Federal State and Local Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Maintain safety reports and documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate safety inspections by government agencies (OSHA, EPA, Insurance Carrier) and loss control providers.
- Develop and implement safety/environmental procedures, programs, and training to reduce and eliminate workplace hazards. Lead Safety Committees.
- Conduct accident investigations and safety audits to ensure regulatory compliance and enforce plant safety rules.
- Provide safety training for supervisors and employees, maintaining accident records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure facility, contractors, and vendors comply with safety/environmental regulations and submit timely environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
- Perform hazard identification, risk evaluation, and implement hazard control measures for various operations and projects.
- Document risk assessments, health and safety considerations in equipment and material procurement, and design specifications.
- Ensure proper safety systems and personal protective equipment are in place to manage workplace hazards.
- Oversee hazard reporting and corrective actions arising from accidents and safety concerns.
- 7+ years of related work experience (at least half of which is manufacturing).
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations with respect to OSHA, Workers' Compensation, ADA, EPA regulations, USDA.
- Experience in Loss Control, and Industrial Health and Safety.
- Experience in Managed Care, Return-To-Work, and/or Claims Management.
The base salary range for this position is $93,000 - $154,000 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
