RN Resource Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Role: Resource Nurse providing acute care across various units including Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.

• Assist in the area of greatest need during each shift, ensuring efficient patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking by integrating best practice protocols with patient data.
• Respond promptly to clinical changes, communicate effectively using SBAR, and involve patients and families in care planning.
• Participate in orientation, ongoing learning, and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Ensure medication safety adhering to nine guiding principles and hospital policies.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts, documenting care accurately and achieving optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate care with providers, participate in emergency preparedness, and support interdisciplinary rounds.
• Maintain proficiency with EHR systems and assist in technical or clinical skills as needed.

• Active RN license in the practice state.
• 4-6 years of Med/Surg experience, with 2+ years in ICU, Critical Care, or ED preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
