Role: Resource Nurse providing acute care across various units including Med/Surg, ICU, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities- Assist in the area of greatest need during each shift, ensuring efficient patient care.
- Demonstrate critical thinking by integrating best practice protocols with patient data.
- Respond promptly to clinical changes, communicate effectively using SBAR, and involve patients and families in care planning.
- Participate in orientation, ongoing learning, and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Ensure medication safety adhering to nine guiding principles and hospital policies.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts, documenting care accurately and achieving optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate care with providers, participate in emergency preparedness, and support interdisciplinary rounds.
- Maintain proficiency with EHR systems and assist in technical or clinical skills as needed.
- Active RN license in the practice state.
- 4-6 years of Med/Surg experience, with 2+ years in ICU, Critical Care, or ED preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
