Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - Schwan's - Marshall, MN - $1,000 Sign-on Bonus

Job Overview

Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels including in‑person, by appointment, and virtually to provide the best possible counsel while adapting a digital‑first mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers across multiple channels to assess and attend to their banking needs.
  • Obtain and process customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products.
  • Recommend solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs.
  • Proactively outreach, follow up, and learn about clients’ financial needs and channel preferences.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products to assist with their financial needs.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
  • Comply with all NMLS registration requirements under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including completing required background and credit checks.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job‑related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
  • Must have National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
  • Ability to meet and maintain required NMLS criminal background and credit record standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset.
  • Demonstrated competence in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers’ needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
