3rd Shift Entry Level Mechanic

Shift: various start times – various end times.

Hourly Rate: $23.17 an hour + $1.00 shift differential.

Conagra Brands offers wages starting at $23.17 per hour plus shift differential and $3.50 per hour attendance bonus.

Location:

Marshall, Missouri.

• Report to the Maintenance Supervisor on site.
• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re‑build, repair, and test parts and components on plant and production equipment.
• Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order.
• Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to ensure production operation.
• Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re‑build, repair, and test parts and equipment on plant and production equipment.
• Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machines.
• Work seven days a week and extended shift schedules.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years progressive mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Vocational technical training in machine maintenance.
• Carry and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Read and write English for completion of production and quality documents.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
• Familiar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch, and basic hand tools.
• Electrical experience.
• Welding, electrical, and fabrication experience.
