Overview

Job Coach – Part Time in Marshall. This is entry-level professional work developing, implementing, and monitoring community employment programs and positive behavior supports for persons with developmental disabilities.

• Develop and monitor community employment programs and positive behavior supports for persons with developmental disabilities.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, applying the philosophy of Community Integration, Employment First, and equal access to full inclusion.
• Promote informed choice, self-determination, and active participation to facilitate each individual7s strengths, talents, and interests.
• Learn and apply best practices in community integration and Employment First, from intake to fading of paid supports to natural supports, documenting support needs and types of supports per event and relationships established per chosen Missouri Outcome(s).
• Demonstrate patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Maintain strong organizational and listening skills; communicate clearly and effectively.
• Maintain physical stamina to assist individuals as needed.

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess/maintain a valid Missouri driver7s license and be able to drive during the day or night, in rural, highway, or metro conditions to transport individuals to appointments and community integration events.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.
