Project Manager – Capital Projects
Prysmian, the global leader in energy and telecom cable systems, is seeking a hands‑on Project Manager to coordinate and complete projects on time, within budget and scope. The role reports to the Director of Strategic Capital Projects and involves working onsite with plant engineering managers and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver projects on‑time, within scope and budget.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties for flawless execution.
- Delegate project tasks based on team members’ strengths, skill sets, and experience.
- Be present onsite for the most critical parts of the project to prevent disconnect.
- Develop detailed project plans, monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to scope, schedule and costs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Develop project plans to be shared with clients and stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong leadership skills – able to coach and mentor a team at various levels.
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects within budget.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with budgeting and tracking.
- Strong organizational, detail‑oriented and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- AutoCAD or similar design/drafting software experience.
- On‑field oversight of daily operations for critical parts of the project.
- Travel up to an average of 60% of the time, depending on project phase.
