Christus Good Shepherd Home Care is hiring for a PRN/Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist in Marshall, TX
!
As the Speech Therapist in Home Health, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Based on this assessment, you will develop treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well‑being, and evaluate progress.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and in accordance with the plan of care, coordinating with other healthcare team members
- Evaluate patient function using diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests; assist the physician in developing therapy plans of care
- Treat patients to communicate effectively, expressing thoughts according to each patient’s condition, following acceptable practice standards
- Observe, record, and report to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition; instruct patient, family or caregiver, and other team members in speech‑therapy areas they can participate in
- Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence
- Current CPR certification
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
- Availability to work weekend rotation
Pay is based on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Salary ranges from $82,048 to $123,072 annually for full‑time employment.
