Job Description The Senior Coordinator, Residence Life and Student Engagement plays a vital role in advancing student success and campus life at TSTC Marshall. This position provides direct oversight of residential life operations and student engagement initiatives, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for on-campus students. Reporting through the Statewide Student Engagement Manager, the Senior Coordinator supervises staff, advises student organizations, and leads programming efforts that foster leadership development, civic engagement, and community connection.

This role serves as a key point of contact for crisis response and acts in the capacity of Director of Housing when the campus director is unavailable.

The Target Hiring Range for the position is $ 49,084 - $53,992

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions The employee will demonstrate TSTC's Core Values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, vendors, and community members.

Residence Life & Student Engagement Oversees daily operations of residential life and student engagement activities at TSTC Marshall, creating an interactive and supportive environment for all on-campus students. Co-manages weekly housing operations to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging residential experience. Serves as Director of Housing in the absence of the campus director, providing continuity of leadership and operational stability. Responds to and coordinates crisis management situations in partnership with student housing staff and campus safety officers.

Collaboration & Communication Serves as advisor to major statewide engagement initiatives including Welcome Week, Techsan Day, Campus Auto Show, and other signature events. Collaborates with Facilities and Risk Management to enhance student safety and minimize risk during engagement activities. Provides clear, timely information to students regarding events, policies, and institutional expectations. Works through the Statewide Student Engagement Manager to support and oversee student organizations across the Marshall campus.

Project & Work Management Develops and implements leadership development programs, civic engagement opportunities, and community service activities that empower students to grow as active contributors to their communities. Oversees the creation, monitoring, and support of student organizations and their associated activities and events. Manages operations of activity and recreation spaces, including the Fitness Pad and all outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, functional, and accessible.

Quality & Compliance Designs and delivers student wellness programs, using data to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, mandates, and institutional procedures as outlined in the Student Handbook and governed by state standards. Maintains accurate records and documentation related to residential life operations, student engagement activities, and program outcomes.

Education & Experience

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
