This position reports to the Quality Manager. The Marshall, TX facility produces Low Voltage, Bare Overhead Distribution/Transmission, and Medium Voltage power cables. The Quality coordinator is responsible for scheduling and supervising QA hourly associates, coordinating laboratory testing/inspections to support production, and ensure that products meet customer/industry specifications. This position is also responsible for providing guidance and recommendations to the manufacturing floor based on test data to support continuous improvement and non-conformance root cause investigations.

• Provides weekly work schedules for QA hourly associates
• Oversees QA hourly associates Vacation/FH/EVAC submissions and schedules accordingly
• Oversees laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to ensure compliance to industry standards and customer/engineering specifications
• Supervises QA hourly associates, and provides assistance when needed;
  Oversees QA hourly associates training matrix
• Records and sometimes interprets results to present to senior colleagues
• Engages in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, especially those which can save time and improve QA lab reliability
• Provides all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively
• Confers with management and engineering staff to determine conformance to applicable specifications and standards
• Applies strict adherence to correct procedures and safety guidelines during testing and inspection
• Records and evaluates test data and documents deviations from standards
• Enters data into computer for analysis
• Conducts routine tasks timely and accurately following strict methodologies
• Provides training to new associates
• Performs other tasks that are reasonable to the job as requested by Direct Management

Supervision Scope:
Direct supervision of the Marshall Quality Assurance Laboratory and Laboratory Technicians.

• A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of process controls and product quality planning techniques such as Gauge R&R, SPC, VSM, and Control Plans.
• Must have experience developing SOP’s, work instructions and other supporting documents to address process and ISO requirements.
• Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.
• Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills.
• High energy and demonstrates urgency and fast pace.
• Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the manufacturing function with a bottom-line result.

• Minimum of three (3) or more years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment – required.
• Leadership ability in a team-based environment.
• Strong database background, proficient user of Microsoft Office & Project, Visio, Minitab software systems.
• Strong manufacturing background: ability to understand and develop appropriate product specifications.
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Training Preferred.
• Quality systems auditing experience.
