A night in the life (7 PM – 7 AM)
You clock in, review the maintenance queue, and jump into action. A conveyor needs a bearing swap and seal replacement; a pump shaft requires attention; a line guard calls for a quick weld and acetylene cut. Between urgent calls, you execute mechanical PMs and plan a major mechanical overhaul on a production asset. You log every minute and part in the Maintenance system, then walk the floor to inspect, tune, and verify safe, productive operation.
Before shift end, you tidy the 6S-maintained shop, remind a contractor of site safety rules, and hand off clear notes for the day team.
