Job Description
If you are a Technical Training Instructor professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Marshalltown, IA
, you will provide in-person factory based training at Impact Partner offices or customer sites, and deliver trainings virtually or remotely.
In this role, you will update existing and develop new course materials following IACET guidelines and best practice adult learning theory.
Relocation assistance available for selected non‑local candidate.
AS AN EDUCATION SERVICES INSTRUCTOR, YOU WILL:- Conduct scheduled training sessions at Marshalltown campus, customer sites, sales representative offices, and regional training centers.
- Contribute and collaborate with partners on improving course curriculum, student materials, and hands‑on workshops.
- Assist with the preparation of all necessary instructional materials and equipment for classes.
- Work closely with Division product teams to develop and maintain a high degree of technical expertise on assigned topics, product offerings, and related process control equipment.
You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message. You use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings. You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders. You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning.
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
- Passion for learning and imparting knowledge to people with varied roles and experience levels.
- Previous experience with adult technical learning.
- Strong mechanical maintenance skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to thrive in team and highly autonomous settings.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel in North America, up to 50%.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Engineering or Industrial Technology.
- Experience with Fisher Division products is preferred; some experience with Control Valve Engineering and FIELDVUE technology is ideal.
