JOB DESCRIPTION In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop expertise in process control instruments and control valves.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for test technology.
- Work with Simulation, Design, Materials and Product Engineering groups as part of a multi-functional team to determine testing requirements.
- Develop and complete test plans in cooperation with internal design teams and external customers.
- Assemble test units, install measurement instrumentation, and set up data acquisition systems.
- Evaluate experimental data and prepare engineering reports that include analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Update company-wide standards and web pages.
- Use LabVIEW, Flex Logger, DIAdem, DeltaV, VBA, and/or Python automated systems that could consist of process or report automation, physical test setups, or data analysis.
- Collaborate in an agile team environment to efficiently conduct testing.
- You try different solutions for problems and learn from the results. You stay aligned with your goals and stay productive. You focus on creating an effective collaborative style. You prepare content for communication that is impactful.
- Enrollment in an engineering Bachelor's degree program
- Completion of the following courses is required for this position:
Statics, Fluids, and Mechanics of Materials - Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at location (Marshalltown, IA)
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering
- Junior or Senior class standing
- 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA
- Hands-on mechanical proficiency and experience
- Fluid dynamics or acoustics interest or experience preferred
