• Four‑year degree in engineering, business or related field required
• Strong analytical and math skills
• Knowledge of food industry beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective people skills
• Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, intermediate‑advanced Excel level necessary
• Trustworthy – will handle confidential material
• Self‑starter, team player

• Develops, installs and maintains cost‑effective manufacturing methods and fair labor standards using MTM‑2 predetermined time‑standard software.
• Selects appropriate work measurement techniques.
• Measures variances to standards, identifies out‑of‑control variances, investigates reasons and suggests solutions, installs and follows up.
• Keeps tally of method changes to reduce cost of production and strives for budgeted goals.
• Completes daily labor efficiency reports.
• Stays abreast of technology trends, investigates and installs the most effective manufacturing methods to keep the company competitive.
• Upholds working relationships with local unions.
• Participates in the initiation of new production lines to assist in cost‑effective design.
• Prepares detailed layouts of plant facilities to optimize utilization and product flow.
• Attends weekly staff meetings.
• Performs various other tasks as needed.
