Recruitment Payment and Pay

$3,000 Recruitment Payment for Full-Time LPNs (Current State of Iowa employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency)

Starting pay: $29.16/hour

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with extended shifts available.

  • 14‑hour shifts 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; working 1 out of 3 weekends
  • 10‑hour evening shift 12 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; working 1 out of 3 weekends
  • Weekend package shifts 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m., options available with retention payments up to $8,000. Applicants must work a minimum of 32 hours every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The total of $8,000 is paid out over 26 pay periods. Must work a total of 40 hours per week. Lodging and meals are available upon request.
What You’ll Do

As a LPN at IVH, you will serve as the leader of a direct care team:

  • Provide and oversee licensed treatments for up to 30 residents.
  • Assess and evaluate resident conditions, take appropriate action, and adjust care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor Resident Aides, CNAs, and Medication Aides.
  • Respond to acute changes in residents with professionalism, skill, and compassion.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
