Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as a Medication Technician! The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest!

Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to the physician’s orders
  • Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies on medication management
  • Use the eMAR system for medication administration
  • Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise resident care work of non‑licensed team members and others on the branch as appropriate
  • Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift
Qualifications
  • An active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors
  • Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to take additional training or education as required by state
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and time‑management skills
  • Good judgment, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Ability to use or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications
