Certified Nursing Aide - Temp - Iowa Veterans Marshalltown Marshall

This is a non‑merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services – Human Resources Enterprise.

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for short‑term Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. The position is full‑time, working evening or night shifts for a minimum of 15 weeks or up to 780 hours.

• Rate of pay: $27.56 per hour for employees working a minimum of 80 hours per pay period over 15 weeks; otherwise hourly wage ranges from $19.43 to $27.56.
• Evening shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.;
  Night shift: 8:15 p.m. – 6:15 a.m.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend.
• No benefits are provided.
• Candidates may apply for a permanent position at the end of the 15‑week term if interested.

• Must be a certified Nursing Assistant.
• Perform basic personal care of residents following a care plan developed by the primary nurse.
• Complete documentation and sign off on resident charts and care plans.
• Certified Med Aides must pass medications as indicated on the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
