Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Marshalltown, IA

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Care for telemetry, post-operative surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
• Read, interpret, and measure telemetry strips independently
• Administer and manage IV drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

• Minimum 24 months of current Med Surg and/or Med Surg-Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Orthopedic and/or general surgery care experience required
• Drip experience with Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone required
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Active AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active AHA or ARC Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

• Telemetry strip reading and measurement experience strongly preferred
• EPIC EMR charting experience preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

• First-time travelers are welcome, provided minimum nursing experience requirements are met
