Role Description
The Sales Development Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Marshalltown, IA. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and targeted outreach to potential clients.
The Sales Development Representative will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to generate and nurture leads, schedule consultative meetings, and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
Daily activities include researching prospective organizations, engaging decision-makers via phone, email, and social channels, and clearly communicating Mechdyne’s value propositions. The role also involves meeting activity and pipeline goals, contributing to sales campaigns, and providing feedback on market trends and client needs.
Qualifications- Candidates should possess skills in Inside Sales and Lead Generation to effectively identify, qualify, and follow up on potential opportunities.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Sales skills to engage prospects, understand their needs, and present solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Candidates should possess skills to support relationship-building, opportunity expansion, and long-term client engagement.
- Relevant experience in B2B technology, AV/IT, or software solutions sales is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Marshalltown, IA, manage multiple priorities, and meet performance targets.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software; prior experience with structured sales processes is an advantage.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
