Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist serves as a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will utilize industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs, champion the Safelite spirit, and bring unexpected happiness to your customers.

Responsibilities
  • Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands‑on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
  • Repair chips, cracks, and other auto‑glass related issues on customer vehicles.
  • Manage work orders, customer documentation, and customer communication through the Safelite handheld MRM technology.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Clean customer vehicle during wait or idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
What You’ll Get
  • Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.75 per hour.
Education & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by federal, state, and local laws to operate a company vehicle.
  • On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills & Abilities
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26‑50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain professionalism and passion for outstanding customer service.
  • Safely work outside in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Work with chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting.”
  • Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
  • Problem‑solve and troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
  • Read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
  • Communicate orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means).
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform and PPE policies.
  • Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure.
