Landscape / Construction EstimatorWe’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Landscape / Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in winning new work—helping identify opportunities, build accurate estimates, and support the company’s continued growth and strong project pipeline.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you’ll be at the center of our pre-construction and bidding process—turning plans into accurate, competitive estimates that help us win and deliver high-quality projects.
- Identifying and pursuing bidding opportunities to support company growth
- Reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Preparing clear and organized project cost breakdowns and presenting them to internal teams and clients
- Explaining estimates, assumptions, and scope details to clients and answering pricing-related questions
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, landscape architects, clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to refine scopes and pricing
- Tracking actual project costs against estimates to evaluate performance and improve future accuracy
- Helping improve estimating processes by incorporating historical data and lessons learned
- Supporting additional related tasks as needed
- 3+ years of estimating experience in landscape construction, site work, or general construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- Strong proficiency with CAD and other construction/design software
- Experience using Bluebeam and RSMeans (or similar estimating tools)
- Solid understanding of:
- Landscape construction and site work
- Asphalt paving
- Concrete and masonry
- Fencing
- General construction methods and basic engineering concepts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong knowledge of estimating, bidding, and construction scheduling processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
