Industrial Communications is seeking an experienced estimator to join our construction team. The estimator is responsible for creating a comprehensive financial analysis for each project and deciding on the projected time frame needed to complete a project, including labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks.
Types of projects include:
Tower construction, tower upgrades, wireless carrier new construction and modifications, projects on towers, roof tops, water tanks, etc. General construction includes work in commercial and government buildings, structural steel work, carpentry, electrical, etc.
- Conduct or assist with site walks and pre‑bid meetings to collect key field data
- Review requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to fully understand project scope
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for each project covering labor, materials, permits, specialized equipment, and subcontracted work
- Work on multiple company bids simultaneously and deliver in accordance with deadline objectives
- Define trade‑specific scopes and prepare bid packages
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing
- Present estimates to management and other stakeholders
- Compile and track actual project costs
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure a smooth transition through the project life cycle
- 4‑year degree or equivalent experience in commercial construction estimating. Experience in project management a plus
- Familiarity with public bidding, DCAMM, and prevailing wage a plus
- Ability to obtain OSHA‑10
- Valid driver’s license
- Construction Supervisor License a plus, but not required
$75,000 - $85,000
