RTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus for New Full Time Hires!
Provide direct support and training to individuals with disabilities in community‑based employment settings, including OPTS Centers, supported employment sites, and individual job placement. This position works in conjunction with the Case Management, Program Director, and Job Placement staff to promote an individual’s readiness for community‑based employment and performs related activities relative to employment. It may also require direct support and training in a more intensely supervised group environment, for which a rate differential will be applied.

- Provide on‑the‑job training and supervision to individuals in a 1:1 or group format at community‑based, business locations, and Marshfield I OPTS center.
- Provide written job assessments, complete daily behavior data, and complete daily payroll sheets.
- Prepare reports in accordance with state and agency requirements.
- Work in cooperation with the Case Worker/Manager to establish and implement employment and behavioral objectives; communicate all related worker issues to the designated Case Worker/Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between RTR, families, referral agencies and host companies, representing a positive and pro‑active attitude at all times while meeting workflow requirements set by the company.
- Provide job support and/or functional skills training in a variety of community‑based businesses.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for individuals under supervision, establishing behavioral limits in a positive consistent manner and in accordance with behavioral plans.
- Provide transportation to host companies as needed.
- Attend mandated Safety Care training. Responsible for implementing physical restraints on the individuals we support to assist with behavioral management, including but not limited to hitting, biting, kicking and spitting.
- Cooperate and interact with co‑workers, clients, volunteers, and funders in a collaborative, courteous, empathic, and professional manner; demonstrate willingness and ability to be part of a team effort.
- Participate in the Positive Behavior Support initiative and complete the Quality Behavior Curriculum.
- Adhere to all applicable procedures for each host company.
- Assist and support individuals as needed with physical direct care (e.g., mechanical transfer, toileting).
- Attend all required meetings.
- Adhere to all program routines and schedules.
- Adhere to the schedules and needs of RTR, the individuals under supervision, and customer/host companies.
- Dress in a manner that reflects the corporate culture of the specific business in which the individual or individuals are placed.
- Adhere to agency safety standards.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and provide coaching to new co‑workers as directed.
- Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required (e.g., clearing snow and ice, operating equipment).
- Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
- Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies, including staff and Board beliefs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the Internet.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
