Staff Accountant

Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a Staff or Senior Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and has high attention to detail. The salary for this position is $65K - $95K.

The Staff or Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform bank reconciliations, deposit receipts, and monitor corporate credit card activity to ensure accurate financial records.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry, check cutting, and tracking payments.
• Post journal entries and tie out account balances to supporting schedules for multiple entities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements
• Monitor accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and business contracts.
• Assist in budgeting processes and create year-end financial packages for multiple entities.
• Support legal billing and 1099 preparation, including calculating billable time and monitoring rates.

The Staff or Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in a business environment.
• Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team environment.
