JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsible for carrying out duties that include design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. Work with engineers, technicians, purchasing, other personnel to meet project goals. Perform tasks as required to complete projects on time and according to customer requirements.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS- A demonstrated high level of fabrication intuition
- A strong knowledge of fabrication materials and their interactions
- Proficient with 2D and 3D interpretation, modeling and detailing (Draft Sight, AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Experience with PPAP process and all related documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams
- Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience with IC engines and fuel systems
- Hands on experience with machining, metal fabrication, cutting lasers, turrets and press brakes
- Familiarity with technical requirements, specifications, designs and codes within the transportation industry
- Experience with tooling design is a plus but not required
