Winsearch UK is proud to partner with a leading aluminium specialist contractor based in Cardiff. This prestigious client designs, manufactures, and installs aluminium-based systems for the external envelope of commercial and industrial buildings.
This is a great opportunity to step into a key role within a well-established business that delivers high-quality façade and glazing projects for a strong base of main contractor clients. You’ll be working on a steady pipeline of work and play an important part in securing and shaping upcoming projects.
The roleYou’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of construction packages, with a focus on aluminium systems, glazing, windows, and doors.
Day to day responsibilities- Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications
- Carrying out detailed material take-offs
- Preparing costings, quotations, and breakdowns
- Liaising with main contractors and supply chain partners
- Supporting the commercial team in winning and delivering projects
- Experience in estimating within the construction industry
- Ideally some exposure to aluminium curtain walling, glazing, windows, or doors
- Knowledge of systems such as Kawneer, Metal Technology, Alu Prof, or Technal would be beneficial
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience using estimating software such as Logikal or similar
