Starr Boiler and Machinery Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is open to candidates based in Northern IA or Southwest WI. As a Machinery Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting boiler and pressure vessel inspections and ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' machinery and equipment.
Risk Assessment capability is a plus.
- Conduct jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels and commissions in IA and WI (experience is a plus).
- Perform internal boiler examinations, requiring physical capability and attention to detail.
- Provide clear and concise reports and recommendations through effective communication with client management at all levels.
- Interact with clients in a professional manner and manage a multi-state territory.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to boilers and pressure vessels; maintain knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to support risk assessment and compliance initiatives as needed.
- NB commission with "IS" endorsement or ability to obtain a NB commission within 12 months of hire.
- Experience conducting jurisdictional inspections of regulated boilers and pressure vessels and commissions in IA and WI is a plus.
- Strong self-motivation and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels.
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory and work autonomously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and jurisdictional regulations.
