Overview
Our client in the Dane County area is looking for a Risk Manager with 4+ years of experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. This company offers a collaborative team, a supportive culture, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.
Base pay range$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Establish, document, and communicate the organization’s risk management policies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, controls and strategy.
- Conduct annual Enterprise Risk Assessment and collaborate with senior management to identify, review, and monitor internal risk and control activities and strategies.
- Oversee the property and casualty insurance procurement process by compiling asset and risk exposure data and evaluating adequacy of insurance policy limits.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to location/division managers relating to credit terms, customer payment information and safety/insurance claims prevention and mitigation.
- Document the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and practices in areas such as fraud prevention, damage to physical assets, business interruption, etc.
- Evaluate risk levels of contracts; specifically, the purchase/sale of commodities and insurance.
- Manage, enforce and promote the company’s credit & collection policies and practices to improve write-offs and bad debt recoveries to ensure credit exposure is within limits.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business or related work experience.
- 4+ years of corporate risk and insurance management, risk control, business analysis, finance, or related work experience.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- High understanding of internal controls and adherence to established procedures.
- Ability to manage projects independently and within a team.
- Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM).
