Job Description:

** JOB SUMMARY
** The Pharmacy Intern is responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting in medication preparation, inventory management, and other assigned tasks. This individual works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy intern performs a wide variety of technical and clinical duties.  The pharmacy intern will assist in the provision of drug distribution services for patients.  In addition, under the direction supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist the centralized and decentralized pharmacists’ provision of medication therapy optimization as an accountable member of the healthcare team.

Temporary position for summer 2026.
** JOB QUALIFICATIONS
**** EDUCATION
* ** For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
*** Minimum

Required:

** Enrolled student at a college or university completing coursework in science and/or a healthcare profession track.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Working towards a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or a School of Pharmacy in the process of obtaining accreditation.
** EXPERIENCE
* *** Minimum

Required:

** Strong math skills, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Previous experience working in a pharmacy or hospital.
** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
*** The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

** Certified pharmacy technician, eligibility for WI pharmacy intern registration.
