Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks Residential Support Staff to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care in community-based homes. In this role, you'll assist residents with daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, and housekeeping while fostering safety, dignity, and independence. You'll implement individualized service plans, support behavior and emotional regulation, and accompany residents to appointments and community activities. As part of a faith-inspired, inclusive team, you'll receive training, supportive supervision, and opportunities to grow while making a direct impact on individuals and families in need.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily living support, supervision, and companionship to residents in group home settings
- Assist residents with personal care, meal preparation, medication prompting, and housekeeping tasks
- Implement individualized service and behavior support plans following trauma-informed practices
- Monitor resident safety, document observations, and report concerns to supervisors and care teams
- Support community integration by accompanying residents to appointments, activities, and outings
- Model positive social skills, conflict de-escalation, and respectful communication
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow agency and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical and case management staff to support resident goals
- Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and quality improvement efforts
- Uphold LSS mission, values, and confidentiality and follow all health and safety procedures
