Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an acute care Level 2 trauma facility requiring at least 1 year of experience and hands‑on Siemens MRI expertise.

• Acute care setting with Level 2 trauma designation
• Department includes 3 MRI scanners in an attached clinic and 1 scanner in the hospital adjacent to X‑ray
• Float requirement between inpatient units and the attached clinic
• Performs a wide range of MRI studies including Level 2 trauma imaging
• Average of 38 scans per day, with 7 staff on duty until 4:30 PM and 2 staff after 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage staffed solo with the exception of an assistant
• Uses Cerner EMR and Siemens PACS
• Non‑registered assistants available on weekends
• 10‑hour shifts on a 7‑on/7‑off rotation, with weekday shifts 12p-10p and weekend shifts 8a-6p
• Requires IV starts
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as part of the 7‑on rotation
• Call/standby requirement every other Friday from 6p-8a Saturday during the 7‑on rotation
• Up to 1 week of department‑specific orientation

• ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
• Must have hospital setting experience (not solely clinic‑based)
• Must have hands‑on experience with Siemens MRI equipment
• Cerner EMR experience preferred as facility transitions to Epic
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• First‑time travelers accepted

• Scrubs provided
• Candidates who previously worked for the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, with an adjusted pay rate
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
