OpportunityInterventional Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology
Job Details- Work 4 ten-hour shifts per day, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a rotating day off; 5 eight-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) may also be considered
- Weeknight call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays
- Weekend call rotation once every 3 weekends (Friday through Monday)
- May be asked to participate in holiday call
- 30-minute call response time required
- Work across 7 total rooms including 4 Cath Lab/EP rooms and 3 IR/Vascular rooms
- Average of 20+ cases per day across all rooms
- Perform and assist with IR procedures including port placements, liver biopsies, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC and central line placements, and neuro procedures (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations)
- Assist with vascular procedures including Fem-pops, AAA repair, carotids, EVAR, and angios
- Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
- Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Pull supplies, set up sterile table, and scrub in to assist physicians with procedures
- Perform device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
- Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
- Perform clean-up, restocking, room turnover, and sheath removals
- Hybrid floating for vascular cases required
- EMR and equipment used:
Merge, Cerner, and Siemens - Facility scrubs provided; own scrub caps permitted
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ARRT
This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive interventional radiology and vascular department. The department consists of 7 total procedure rooms supporting a high-volume caseload of 20+ cases per day across IR, vascular, cath lab, and electrophysiology services. The facility utilizes Cerner as its primary charting system and supports a collaborative team-based staffing model with dedicated team leads overseeing scheduling and staffing.
