Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week (also open to 4 nine-hour shifts), scheduled 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with rotating day off

• Weeknight call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays

• Weekend call rotation once every 3 weekends (Friday through Monday)

• May be asked to participate in Holiday call

• 30-minute call response time required

• Work within a 7-room facility (4 Cath Lab/EP rooms and 3 IR/Vascular rooms) with 20+ cases per day across all rooms

• Common procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, Structural, Watchman, Impella, IABP, IFR, FFR, IVUS, STEMI, Roto, and Laser

• Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup

• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment

• Pull supplies, set up sterile tables, and scrub in to assist physicians with procedures

• Perform device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment

• Manage radiation dose and imaging angles

• Perform sheath removals and handle room cleaning, restocking, and turnover

• Serve as part of the STEMI call team (4-person team: 1 RN and 3 Techs)

• Hybrid floating may be required for vascular cases

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required

• EMR and equipment used:
Merge and Cerner

• Facility-provided scrubs; personal scrub caps permitted

• Orientation typically consists of 2-3 full days of training and shadowing with buddy call; no call during first week, buddy call during second week

• Must clock in and out at the facility

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering a comprehensive Cath Lab department with 7 procedure rooms, including dedicated Cath Lab/EP and IR/Vascular suites. The department handles a high volume of complex cardiovascular procedures and maintains a dedicated STEMI response team. The facility supports a collaborative staffing model with experienced team leads overseeing scheduling and daily operations.
